Videogames, even DF, exist between pretty narrow boundaries. Outside the code nothing can exist, new code doesnt just come into life.

So living in a videogame has a bit of a hellish feeling to it. You know, eternal prison and stuff.

With real life being so complicated... Tetris, where everything is a simple as coloured blocks!

On a more serious note, I've always been imagining how mankind would explore the space in the far future, thanks to Star Trek for the inspiration back when I was a kiddo and Discovery Channel for the technical information. I even vow that one of my descendants should become a crew member of a space exploration vessel. So, while it's not a game per se, I think it would be nice to live in such futuristic-setting world.

DF would be bad due to permadeath and the ease of getting it.

I suppose choosing some kind of MMO would be cheating?

I feel your pain.

There is not a single other Filipino here. :-[

On topic: DF, like leafsnail says, would be horrific.

I'd rather live in Morrowind. The culture is odd, but at least their elves won't try to eat me.

What, really? I always thought me as the sole human playing DF in the disaster-ridden country of Indonesia :P

... That makes... 3 ASEAN? Only 3? Out of 500 millions people? :P

Hindi ah! Pinoy rin ako tol!

Anyways: I'd choose Morrowind, that or Sword of the Stars or Homeworld. The races are awesome in their own ways.

Well I'd choose Prototype. I'd be a fast killing machine, almost immortal. Hell, I could even transform my shape and all.

Hell, I could simply consume the president and then be one. Now that'd be a life, being almost everybody I want, plus Wallsprint. So nice.

Hmmm....probably Civilization, Master of Orion, Galactic Civ, or something along those lines. Eternal life, hand behind the throne of an entire civilization, and I'm really pretty good at beating those games so live would be pretty good. Can't really argue with that.

I've worked it out.  I'd live inside a Mafia game.  That way at least I'd have human contact, and would be resurrected every round.

I already live in GTA, where would I want to move?  Second Life?  Get real.

Startopia would be an interesting choice.  I always wondered what it felt like getting sucked up into that big plant-thingy.  Plus, the sirens...  Ooh la la.

And, I'd actually have the sense to stay away from those goddamn cats.  Seriously, what is *with* these morons?  DON'T FEED THE PARASITES.  PLEASE.

Warhammer 40k.

I'd want to be a human living with the Tau, or an eldar's pet human.

hmm.

I can't remember any game-worlds that enticed me into wanting to be there actually....

simcity, but most likely the SIMs because whenever did anybody get to choose their life/world?
elite/oolite because it is friendly and full of pirates wanting to kill me. (loved frontier too)
powermonger, because I ruled it.

@kagus: lol those scraggers (or whatever, them beetles) were fun! What plant thingy? Oh you mean that obscene attraction thing. :P
I'd be one of those doubleheaded guys and always hanging around on the biodeck or near the sirens. :)

I liked that the parasites would eventually burst forth and cause some major havoc in your station...  It just punched a little hole in the "safety" of a fully-operational station.  It could be irritating if they happened to do so in the waiting room of your hospital, or some other "sensitive" place, but you could usually clean the ordeal up.

But what annoyed me was that every beetle attack meant that some nimrod tourist had decided it would be an awesome idea to bond with the stupid thing and let it infect them.  But, hey, more corpses for the almighty recycler.

And yeah, what was it with the scientists?  Those guys were *always* skulking around the siren quarters.  Crazy eggheads just don't get enough, I guess...
