Yeah, cue all the hosts getting insecure about their diction.

I guess I could do a find replace for 'like' with some surrogate phrase such as 'such as'. Seriously though that image's pretty cool, I've never seen that sort of thing before.

I love the editing! The music really adds a lot. I do find the brief pauses in the talk are a bit too short; just let the music run for 10-20 seconds more. It makes for more relaxed listening (great idea with these breaks by the way). I think some BBC radio interviews are done in the same way.

When is Ollieh releasing his official DF soundtrack?  :)

Agree about the editing, it's really good. :) I don't necessarily agree about longer music breaks, though, at least not as long as there's only the single DF song.. :)

And yeah, Ampersand was a little hard to hear at times, otherwise everything was very impressive and entertaining. Great job guys. :)

mallocks has heroically produced a transcript of the full second DF Talk.

Awesome job, mallocks. :)

EDIT: I just remembered: the random animal sounds scared the crap out of me. :P

I felt it was clever.

I was rather upset about the long editing period.

Just for fun, I made a Wordle of the transcripts of the last two shows (with names removed):

It's really cool, but you need "Scamps" in there somewhere!

That's about how long his music is, I didn't shorten them in any way.  Next time I think I'm going to vary the music some.

It's not hand-made, but automatically generated based on the contents of the transcript. :)

You were upset?  Why?  I do not think you mean what you think you mean.  The turnaround for this one was even faster than the last one.  Total time I spent editing was around five hours.  My family complained about my time away from them on a weekend.

In the future, these "editing periods" may be longer or shorter, depending on my schedule.  Since you, my friend Shadow, are not paying my bills nor is the podcast, since it is totally volunteer, I am a little off put that you would be "upset" by the "long editing period."  I would, however, let you scream at me all you want about it if you decided to hire me to do them!  :D

Yeah really.   It was what, like two days from us recording it to it being made available for free?   And then like another two days for the transcript to get put up?

So, less than a week turnaround, for a totally volunteer driven production.

I really don't see what you have to be upset about.

I found the animal sounds distracting and dumb sounding. I'm perfectly fine with "uh" and "like" being in there, because that's just how people talk, but editing in nonsense like that just annoys me.
