Necroing this to celebrate finally finding the time to clear up my desktop.  My old desktop had about 50 shortcuts I never used any more on it, a variety of applications my brother uses but I never do, and a bunch of random free trials.  It also had a default windows background.  In short, it was possibly the worst desktop imaginable.

I had a fell mood and butchered the lot of them.  I'm now left with 5 shortcuts: My Computer, Recycle Bin, Games, Mafia (had to put those random files that were lying around on my desktop somewhere :P) and and Games (which is a pretty poorly organized folder in itself, especially the "Freeware" section).  And, just for fun, I got a wallpaper I liked (before anyone asks: no, I haven't got the game).  Anyway, enjoy.

Also bumping this because I'm curious to see some more crazy Bay12 desktops.  Anyone got a Touhou screen-shot as a wallpaper :P?

I approve of the wallpaper.
Your desktop is so empty, mine is slowly collecting more icons as I expand my collect of various things.

I went from one extreme to the other.  From hopelessly disorganized collection of shortcuts I barely used that were so badly arranged it was faster to use the start menu to 5 desktop icons.  I spaced them around the desktop like I did because...

Because I could.  I'm now trying to find icons to put on my "Games" and "Mafia" shortcuts.

I still have my desktop the way that i showed before, but thats doctored just for that post...lol....

i wonder if ill ever post my real desktop..... there aint much difference between the two...

Yep, most Windows icons are in whatever your language is, while games are just better in English.

Hmm, I did notice it was different from what I'd expect in German, such as Mein Computer.  Guess I just can't distinguish too well between some foreign languages.

It being called dutch in english is by the way a result of englishspeakers not being able to differentiate between niederlandish or deutch.

Should post desktop too, just to buff up my Ego.
