The best way to demonstrate it to him is take a save of 40 year old fortress with 150 dwarves in it on a good sized embark with a volcano that just breached the circus and install it on his gaming rig and watch it bring his rig to its knees.

It's Xmonad.  I wouldn't recommend it actually; it works great but is hard to configure and has weird dependencies that cause all sorts of other problems. I just use it because I've already got those sorted out.

Why do you have two LNPs pinned to the taskbar? (also, you should sort all those image icons off to one side :P)

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I would have 20 if it wasnt for my dislike of the /\ \/ button on the taskbar C:

This be the most effed up desktop I've ever lain mine eyes upon.

How the hell do you even use that, I'd have killed it with fire long ago.
