Windows borked and took my wallpaper with it. So I got these. For some reason, the second picture has things budged over to the right.

As requested:
I just realized that the character that's serving as my desktop background image might be a young Piastol from Skies of Arcadia. I don't know why it took so long to figure that out, since I've had this background for years and played Skies of Arcadia months ago.
Can you post the image in the desktop thread? I'd like to see it.

Changed my background.

I'm not actually the one who took this.

Hmm...maybe, but I doubt it. Piastol has bluish eyes, while this one's eyes are more pink. Could just be artistic license though.

The character?  That's Suigintou from Rozen Maiden, is it not?

EDIT: Good heavens, but that image itself looks really, really familiar somehow.  It's definitely Suigintou, but...I feel like I should know the source of that, too.

EDIT 2: Nope, went looking through my old desktop images.  I'm thinking of a different desktop made from the same source image.

Yeah, that's definitely Suigintou.

I believe that this is the original source, but as one of those wallpapers that seems to have been copied to every single "anime wallpapers for free" site on the net it's a bit difficult to tell for sure. I didn't find any other sources on art sites (excepting one on deviant art that seemed like a blatant crop without attribution), so that's the most "Artistically valid" site I've found so far, at least.

An impressively balanced transposition of beautiful and ugly.

Thats... surprisingly coherent looking for a deep dream image. :P

Here's my current desktop
Spoiler: Warning: Ponies (click to show/hide)
(Also WTF imgur! I give you a perfect PNG and if it's over 756 KB you convert it to a horribly compressed jpg image. If, on the other hand, I take my 2MB png and first convert it over to a 1.8MB best quality jpg then you store it just fine that way! This is idiotic! >:()

Imgur needs to update its crap, jpgs aren't the best thing. Not sure if they ever have been.

If you continue iterating over an image with deepdream, the hints become more and more concrete as deepdream is able to find more details it can impose upon the preexisting image.

I might actually take that desktop. It's coherent and sane compared to the one I'm using.
