Not too much consideration went into matching icons to programs, just threw them around and put whatever flag they were above on.

I'm taking the steps to make my desktop look better, partly due to boredom and partly due to how if I don't try to make it better it gets cluttered up with hundreds of useless files I'm too lazy to get rid of.

I'm guessing the background.  Looks more like New York City to me, though, since that looks like the Chrysler Building on the far right.
