I got myself a new wallpaper (I again have no idea where it is from) and I removed most of the links on my desktop that I haven't used for more than a few months.

ps: does anyone knows how to remove the VAIO thingie?

Rightclick on the tray icon and see if it closes?

Exciting, right? I used to have pretty desktops, but I realized I only see them for a few seconds every week.

I'm on a mac, I use spotlight to launch everything. I still have my dock with most commonly used stuff but I never really use it:

Even by my standards this is ungodly messy, I'm going to clean it out soon.

I went for a sillier layout this time, but still clean and (mostly) informative.

Yeah, I got sort of tired of the little problems with SharpE, such as clicking in a fullscreen window and it hitting the taskbar beneath and launching some program. I'm doing the actual Windows shell for now, and honestly it feels much better than SharpE. I do miss the customisability though.

I'm using Emerge Desktop now.  I've tried all the major desktop shells now, and I think it's by far the best.  There are a couple features from SharpE that I wish it had, but nothing major.

Thankfully, I've managed to stay icon-free for most of this semester. My Start Menu isn't a massive mess of shortcuts, either.

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.
