I keep getting this error from SharpE/SharpDesk: "Access violation at address 03A38B7C. Read address 03A38B7C." A Google search turns up nothing and I'm completely stumped by it.

For people having trouble with Rainmeter skins:

Download skin.
Unzip.
Open up the folder you have just created.
Navigate to the skins folder.
Move that to Documents/Rainmeter/Skins.
And then there are several ways to put your new skins on your desktop, I think you can figure that out.

As for SharpE problems below me: No idea. I believe it's a problem with explorer.exe being read-only.

I eventually figured out Rainmeter.  It took me a while to understand that every skin has individual components that need to be activated one at a time and then you have to hit refresh for it to come up.  I was expecting stuff to just pop up after loading it in, and when it didn't, I went scouring all the menus looking for some kind of activation or setting I was missing.

Still gave up on it, though, because despite being really awesome software, it didn't offer me any new functionality that I really needed.  Will probably revisit it again sometime.
