That speedtest reveals I'm getting about 20% of the average for my ISP. Conclusion: My router is shit. I have suspected this for some time.

It DOESN'T lock itself. It simply refuses to start and/or refuses to join a server.

When it ends, make sure you are part of a very long-lasting round of TF2, the kind of thing that takes hours to simply capture a single point. You can play as long as you are in that server, since it won't bother kicking you off until (one of: The map changes, The round ends, You quit the server, I don't know the exact specifics.)
