But yes, I actually think it being cut off by my tiny monitor makes it work a bit better as well.

Here's mine, put everything together in Rainmeter yesterday. Alas, I can't say that I drew or designed any of that myself, just did the layout.

Have you ever seen Soul Eater? Falling over in swivel chairs is basically what Stein does.

It being a windows- screenshot I don't think it's refering to the X window system. Any way: the times when you had to manually edit xorg.conf to get your dual screen or custom resolution to work are over. It's 2 years now that X doesn't even need a xorg.conf file any more. (But you can still create one if you insist on going back to those times.) In that regard things are way better today than they have been in the 00ies.

I think the X is referring to the fact that that's a png image that's hosted on a slow webserver, and doesn't load for him
