My family has a tiny fish pond, but the fish always die in summer due to heat. So we decided to bring water from a nearby spring to keep the pond cool and full of oxygen.

Well, the 300m plastic hose that we used needed to go through a creek bed. However, the creek bed is overgrown with nettles, blackberries and willow bushes.

So, I took a machete and carved a path through the overgrown creek bed, while throngs of mosquitoes nearly bit me to death. The only way this can get more manly is if I get malaria, but sadly it's not a common disease 'round these parts.
