Avatar is pretty good. You should watch an episode, they show it often on Nicktoons Network.

Also, Invader Zim.

Also, Invader Zim.

Oh god. Invader Zim was ruined by all of the Hot Topic freaks and emos in my school. No thanks.

Silly talk. Invader Zim was awesome. The only thing that can tarnish it is Nicktoons not airing one of the seasons.

Also, I couldn't stand the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.

Avatar is an interesting show. Me and my sister liked it, but we found that the opinions for it were split halfway between liked it and disliked it. And we could kinda see why: It came close to straddling the line between a good cartoon and a cheap hammy one. Some tropes were overused, the four elements system is a little trite and some characters got a little wonky. It still pulled together enough to produce a decent show though.
Although it seems halfway through the main antagonist and main protagonist shifts roles, with the whiny emotional brat antagonist becoming a decent character you root for, and the main protagonist, a goofy all around fun-loving guy, becoming that whiny brooding selfish bastard. I figured this was the main point, as it annoyed the hell out of me.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Nothing will ever ruin Invader Zim. Ever.

Any who disagrees shall be BURNED AT THE STAKE FOR HERESY.

Zim, like anything else, was good before it was an icon. It introduced me to Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee

I've seen the little green zipper dude before, but I have no idea where.

I take it that it was an icon by the time I was even aware of it.

I don't get what it being an icon has to do with it. Seems kind of shallow to stop liking something because it's popular.

I expected better of you.  :-\

It was kind of morbid for a kids show. Kind of like Courage. I'm guessing that's what people mean by Lovecraftian?

It's not because it's popular, it's because it's popular among people who are detestable.  You don't want  to be associated with Hot Topic kids.

Why not just watch it and not tell anyone? If you like it, screw Hot Topic kids. Nobody need ever know.
