With Toady it expected the answer yes to "Does your character come from the internet?"

This thing is great ! It didn't get any secondary character though, like Duncan Idaho or Burrich (though Eddard Stark isn't that far I guess).

It got Baba Yaga and Ded Moroz. It failed to guess Dima Bilan, but that's probably due to me not knowing enough about the guy. He did get another russian singer instead of him, so pretty close, I guess.

He just got Shaka Zulu.  Akinator rules.  I'm gonna see if he'll get Cleverbot now.

Nope.

Of the six times I've tried this thing, it got one right.  And that's when I got bored and decided to try out Arthas (got the WCIII disk sitting on my desk).

It missed Njord, Eldred, Horny and Xzar.  And of course Don Ross, as I stated earlier.  I even gave it three tries to get Xzar right, plus a second chance for Horny.

Were they in the lists? If so did you check the box and click on the name? If not, did you add them to the database? If you didnt thats why its not guessing it, because its not in the database.

Also, you might have answered questions wrong, which would lead to him thinking of someone else.

One of the questions is was he the son of God. I said maybe. Jesus never claimed to be the son of God. He called himself the son of man, and emphasized we are all sons of god. Thats in the scripture. But, thats not commonly repeated, and surprisingly few christians actually read the Bible. Go figure.

son of mans a quote from the book of daniel it refers to a profecy about a god like figure on a cloud

it got steve zissou in 24 questions

must have a huge database

None of them were in the lists.  I had to add them myself.  They did have them on the "I've heard of someone like that" page when I entered the name, but that really doesn't count.

And trying to give the damn thing excuses for when it loses kinda removes the fun.  It couldn't guess who I was talking about, therefore it lost.  Don't take my happiness away from me.

EDIT:  Took him two tries, but he got Abe from Oddworld.  And I KNEW Abe was in his database, since I'd seen him in the suggestion list for Horny.

First tried a couple of very easy ones.  Haruhi Suzumiya was struck very easily (it was pretty obvious that it had homed in after "Can your character change the world" but went on to ask a few more questions anyway).  Reaching into the depths of my memories for the first game I ever played, it also correctly guessed Spyro the Dragon (and I am rather surprised it did it without asking any particularly obvious questions, such as "Are you a dragon?).

I could only ever beat it by going for extremely minor characters or very obscure ones, darn it.  Politicians came up fairly well, although I'm slightly worried that he got a fictional anime girl rather a lot faster than he got Gordon Brown (mainly due to just guessing nationality until it got it right).

It is very iffy when it comes to Final Fantasy characters, not because any real fault with the system, but those games are rather... repetitive when it comes to main characters. Going for Ramza gets Vaan. I tried a few others, and the main characters seem to be restricted to the guys from seven, ten and twelve.

And it got Simo Hayha. I was actually not expecting that answer when it was given. The last few questions were "What he German? Was he Russian? Did he partake in WWII?"

Time to go for Audie Murphy. Hell, damn near everybody on the Badass List.

The last question for Gordon Brown was interesting.

"Is he fat?"
