EA. Sucks. ASS.

they arent a good company, i personally LOVES Red alert and the earlier C&Cs. but by the time EA got their mitts on it (after a Tiberium sun Buffer zone) they buggered it all up.

they were still OK by the time of Red Alert 2, however, but after that...

Endgame.

I wouldn't say the games are bad(I found CNC3 and RA3 good actually) but their ideas are horrible, who changes CNC to be DOWII?

Command and Conquer's main failure is that Kane...wouldn't...just....DIE...already! Since the GDI canonically wins, it just make Kane look like a fool...

I know somebody going to argue: "But wait! This actually conceals an AWESOME backstory that shows that Kane is actually the murderer of Abel, and how God is punishing Kane for this murder by forcing him to stay alive forever, and having Kane uber-fail most of the time!"

That might be awesome...to you. It's boring to me.

I would not agree that Kane is a fool. He's some sort of weird creature of weirdness (it's been 70 years and he looks barely a decade older! and he just doesn't die.), but not a fool. He obviously wanted Temple in Sarajevo destroyed (just watch the GDI ending cut scene, isn't he suspicious?). Then He suddenly disappears right before the murderous, evil CABAL begins to assemble the Tacitus. Kane wanted the Tacitus assembled, but this way there's no way he can be blamed for the whole massacre. It's true that if Kane is really that good (setting things in motions for decades to come), he could have just ruled the world anyway, but the CnC series isn't known for it's holeproof plots (especially the Red Alert part).

I'm curious, ever read the old Kane books? Dark fantasy with Kane cursed to live forever and being a uber badass swordsman/sorcerer.

Kane isn't a failure,he's the best character. How does he keep on living? What does the last cutsene in Firestrom mean? If the CNC series don't come incontact with each other what does the ending in RA1 mean when the USSR wins?

Kane is much older as he appears in the frist RA to the end of the CNC TW

Look, all this speculation is pointless.  We'll never know.  Westwood may have had a plan, but EA's only plan is to keep leading fans along so that they can continue churning out sequels.

Im gonna explain the fricken CnC storyline

-RA1, First Great War
-RA2, More advanced
-RA3, possibly non-canon, or the allies fixed the timeline, EA, stop fucking with it.
-CnC Generals, The allies break up, the communist regain control in china, the Arabians got the Jihad in them
-CnC Tiberian Dawn, when the metor hit
-CnC Renegade, note the Apocalypse tank pictures and the harrier ones in the NOD Temple, therefore, Tiberian timeline is canon
-CnC Tiberian Sun, ah crap, not again, more tiberium
-CnC Kanes Wrath, Alright, we fixed it a bit.
-CnC 3, eh, same.
-CnC 4, Alright, NOD and GDI merge.

RA is completely isolated from the tiberium universe, and so is generals.

This is true.

Tiberium <-> Red Alert <-> Generals.

I'd say RA4 would feature Arabians.
With their Djinns. :P

That is debatable. One clue is the apperance of Kane in the soviet campaign of RA1. The other is that Adam Isgreen says so. It is ultimately unclear how they are connected...

Oh, Kane as the mysterious Stalin advisor?

I think that was admitted as a crappy attempt at linking them together. It was pretty much scrapped.

The GDI was pubically formed in the Allied campagins of RA1...but the GDI is supposed to be a secret organization that was only revealed during the Persian Gulf War. The GDI was formed first, NOD was formed later, and GDI used NOD as an excuse to operate openly.
