CNC plot pardox?

Is it me or did the new CNC 4: TiberiumTwillight Break the story ina way. Seeing the new trailer for it,it seems to have gone like this


CNC Dawn: Fighting in the woods
CNC Sun: The world is Brownish or dark
CNC 3 Wars: The world got fixed?
CNC 4 : Someone broke it again

To my recollection CNC 3's red zones were nothing compared to the CNC 2's levels

The red zones in CNC3 were never shown, they were that bad. GDI used massive amounts of sonar power to shatter tiberium crystals.

Anyway, it clearly shows the ravaged landscape, filled with gigantic canyons and humongous crystals of Tiberium.
Given that Tiberium gives off mineral-based vapors, such abundance of it would make it deadly to everyone not equipped with proper tech.
TL;DR, a hellhole.

Imho Tiberian Sun was already a big departure from the first C&C's line, which they have tried to retake with "Generals" (yeah, it's not a "tiberium" game, but I think it tries to follow the style of the first C&C game).

In all I think what he's trying to say is that the "True red zones weren't shown. IE the cutsence were the scrin planes fall along with the shock troopers.

I belive most of the Second game was about yellow zones but that wouldn't explan the level were you have to go to the ruins the the nod temple that got destroyed in the frist one, as that level did have a GDI fort and a city.

Plus in the climatics the Spaceship did have a few 3-6 story buildings in the backround,along with the fact that in the GDI campain there was a subway system and a part of a city.

I havent seen an EA logo in tiberian sun(C&C 2), but I did see one in Firestorm(expansion pack).

Westwood might have been bought between the two.

Okay, did a quick research. Here's the timeline:

1998: EA bought out Westwood
1999: C&C 2; Tiberian Sun published
2000: C&C 2 expansion Firestorm published.
2003: EA closed Westwood

As seen here, EA bought out Westwood before even C&C 2
