I'm going to play paintball for the first time in my life...

I'm really excited despite being really worn out after paddle this morning and football (soccer for the yanks ) yesterday.  Insert more physical activities unnecessary gloating here.

I plan on being Rambo or at least a good Rainbow Six member tomorrow... so...

Any advice?  Experiences?

I don't think my counter strike awesomeness will help me very much here, though.   

I was planning on searching in the internet but this way is more fun...

Seeing this under creative projects made me think you planned to paint your house with paintballs.

My best advice: wear a mask and cup. Seriously.
Also, stay alert and use guerrilla tactics.

My advice
Take cover, if their are a bunch of dudes behind cover, go flank them
Stay together, most people won't last that long on their own.

Just shout out GRAAAAA[etc.]AAGH if you can't think of a battle cry.
But battlecries are stupid.

Charge at them while shooting and shouting "KILL MAIM BURN, KILL MAIM BURN"

I know someone who did that(Without the kill maim burn) and the kid he was shooting at surrendered.

The guy was out of ammo.

Paintball is a team game. Get a good team Being Rambo is a good way to get gunned down, unless you have a fast shooting gun and a lot of HPs

Heh, if the play area is small, try and outflank them. People are good at face-to-face encounters, helpless when you shoot them in the back or flanks. In a face to face encounter, most noobs would hide their head, then stick out to try and shoot you. Just aim at where you think they'll pop up, and you get an easy kill. Also, in the same situation, don't stick your head out of the last spot you hid from

Oh, btw, it's hard to shoot a moving target. Even a big one. If you really want to be Rambo, run around a lot. When under fire, I flee like crazy, roll around, and I didn't even get hit. Everyone was so busy chasing me that my buddy sniped them from the flank easily

-Go Hot, guns up, awareness high
-Go Tight and Fast, Running but with low awareness
-Send a scout
-Use Hand signals
-Let the sniper pick off hard to hit targets
-Let the GI guys be the rambos
-NEVER go out in the open

Here's what you do.

Find a group of people you don't know to play with.
Act like a military tactician, use lots of jargon and overall act like you really know what you're doing.
Get shot in the neck.
Cry.  Hard.  Like, complete bawling, talking incoherently, the works.
Be laughed at.
Go home, knowing you'll never have to worry about seeing them again and that you gave them a story they'll be able to tell their friends.
