I just left Highschool, and I have to say there is sort of a divide. Theres a religious yet amoral group of potheads and druggies and nymphos that has formed due to parent absenteeism. However, there is also a more focused, moral, yet non-religious group that has formed along side of it. This is in California, it may not apply outside of it. The amoral group far outnumbers the focus (usually more intelligent) focused group.

People should need to pass a class to be parents.  And I mean a serious, take-notes-and-answer-questions-on-tests class.  Not just some class where you have to take care of an egg and make sure it doesn't break.  And we should have people doing serious research on good parenting, rather than having a whole lot of random people who think they know how to do it (because they got lucky with special conditions) publishing books on it.

That would probably solve a lot of problems.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

And how would you enforce this exactly?

Probably by making it a required high school course.

Any way he can.

There's too many senators and representatives that would've failed this test to pass it legally, so we need to start thinking of alternate solutions.

Anyone got anything? Yes? No? I can think of at least two ideas... alas, they're morally depraved and are only good for not talking about.

Restarting and restructuring society from the medieval err, just barely fucking works, err current form to a more education and technology centered society.

No, we need a complex blend of tribal warfare and communism, with a bit of capitalism thrown in at our leisure. Thus, we'd have a warlord-based government with built-in population control, everyone would be equal and the same, and the economy would be strong. Plus, if anyone like Bush decided to conquer the state he'd just be ousted in turn by someone like Shaka of the Zulus.

See? Nothing could possibly go wrong about this!

Good Sir, Capitalism is an economic plan, not a government style. Directed towards Ein.

Glacial, you watched fight club a little too many times?

I am both ashamed and strangely proud that I do not know what that is except for the smallest inkling of recognition.

Shaka of the Zulus, if that's what I unwittingly referenced, was a famous Zulu chieftan famous for bringing the Zulu to an age of prosperity by stabbing the heck out of all his neighbors. He assassinated every one of his political opponents and set up his own secret police to bring about more stabby policies. He was a military genius but every single facet of his domestic policies was a disaster. He was, for multiple reasons, not well-liked by his subjects, and was assassinated by his half-brothers in the 1800s, about eighty years before the Europeans arrived to that area.

So, no, I don't watch Fight Club. And from my limited recognition on that subject, isn't it a terribly dramatized wrestling monopoly that basically hinges on rigging fights so that the fans are pleased?

Anarchy is a government style however, and anarcho-capitalism is anarchy with capitalism.

There is no such thing as watching Fight Club too many times. Also, what the hell are we talking about? anarcho-capitalism? I thought this topic was about casual sex, damnit!

Yeah, you can't force parents to take classes, that'll never work.  Unless you put a hormone-inhibiting chip in them that can only be deactivated a registered administrator of the test, it'll never work.

And you can't do that.  No.  You can't start messing with people's bodies just because you don't like how they raise their kids.
