Hello Bay12. For those of you that play Warcraft 3 online, I will be hosting alot of old, fun games on Battle.net. Games like Island Troll Tribes, Goblin Exploration Squad, Wilderness Survival, good versions of Life Of A Peasant, American Colonization, and others. I've never done battlenet, but I've wondered how it works.  If you don't have a map that a friend hosts, can you automatically download it?

Whenever you join a game which plays on a map you don't have, you will automatically proceed to download that map. (The yellow number to the left of someone's name displays how percent of the download is complete for that person.)

I used to play this all the time. Still can host, too. Id have to buy the game again though. Lost my CD's and my little card ID thing.

I loved Phase Killer. That was a gem. Too bad not many people played it.

Fantasy Life was good too, at times. It was better when you actually got people to roleplay in it.

I was awesome at Parasite.  Assuming I didn't get silly and try a form that sucked to see how it worked, I won almost every time, and I had some epic moments too...


If you host parasite, I'm in.  I'll play the other stuff too, of course.

FYI, the game doesn't require a CD to run anymore.

Besides that, I was always quite fond of the Tech Wars maps. Figuring out which combination of rocks works best against an assault of papers and siscors was cool. Most epic moment was when I lost both of my teammates and then proceeded to win the game against a full team...

I used to make maps. I was working on an evolution game, but it was erased along with a lot of my other stuff.

There are no guides for Parasite as far as I know.  It's not too difficult though.  If you want to do it easy but get no respect, get to the planet ASAP, hide out in the wastes, and go mind form.  Once there are others on the planet use illusory clones to keep them confused and distracted, and just wait for the alien monstrosities to come out.  Once they're up and the alien swarm is in full force you can sit in the wastes and it'll take the entire group, decked out in the best suits, to fight their way to you.  Spawn a clone and start evolving shadow form.  Use the clone to cut the power right before you evolve, and watch them pee all over themselves when they hear you evolve.  As long as you can keep the power off, shadow form is unstoppable.

I too used to make maps, but my ideas tended to go beyond the abilities of one person, as I wanted to have completely new items, creatures, and units.  Not to mention I was also trying to come up with an original method of gameplay.

Oh, my bad.  I missed that among all the posts that came after it.  I had no idea what he was talking about, because the previous few posts had nothing to do with parasites or aliens and didn't sound much like warcraft 3.  And there was no quote in his post.

Sounded more like it was about a space-type game, and I knew there was a thread about some space game near the top when I posted that.
