How do you make insides so awesome?
Well, it helps to know the skeleton a bit, and just faux-engineer an interior based on it. Simple enough. Plus, Photoshop is awesome if you know what you're doing. Just as well, monochrome is an easy palette to manipulate.

Notice how I even have Toadinator's eye supported by a couple little pivots?

I think it needs something more than what I already did.

Even tough I have some ideas, my artistic skill is kinda limited.
