I am starting a new game now, but low and behold! even though I have entered my game key, it says I am on TRIAl and limited to 3 hours on the campaign screen. When i leave there and go to my licenses screen, i am all good. bug i guess. I hope my game doesnt quit out in 3 hours time.

I had this too. I suppose when you enter the key it just doesn't update the 'trial' status in the top elft. Restarting the game worked for me, but it was worrying briefly.

On another note, was anybody willing to set up a multiplayer game sometime? I like Co-op, and I need people to protect me because I'm scared =<

Run the game, hit join multiplayer, and then the "join AI War IRC channel" button. ;)

Oh, that's a neat little thing there.

Also, it seems it's been updated to 4.021

Steam hasn't seemed to update it, but the updater ingame seems to work.

Advanced Research Stations. Capture them. If you're lucky, you'll lrn2shuttle.

Statistically you'll probably get something else though.

Most of the updates have to be done in-game, steam usually only updates when it's a major one. Some updates are beta/pre-release updates though, but they probably shouldn't actually break anything.

Chris Park, the creator of AI War, lives in Cary, North Carolina, 20 minutes from my house. I find this awesome.

Man. I really don't want to get sucked into this game again. I just don't have enough time!

Normally they only include people who have made 3 or more non-bug suggestions, but with 4.0 they had so much going on they included anyone who helped out with that too (I found three problems with the multiplayer lobby in two days, among other things).

Above and beyond the mantis list, it's also my fault that Transports have an out-of-supply attrition, that Mk3+ Ion Cannons are capturable, and that neinzul ships are immune to reclamation.

Grabbed this on Steam last night, played through a couple of the tutorials.  Looks interesting.

I'm tempted to grab that expansion if for no other reason than to donate some money to Child's Play.

Post-4.0 Electric Shuttles aren't actually that effective against them, because they do only 400 damage or so (and no armor piercing, IIRC).  You can try lightning turrets (more damage, less RoF, "infinite" armor piercing).

Other than that, check their hull types.  Spider turrets (riot control starships, and other engine damage) work because a unit that dies after a minute or two can't do anything if it can't move.
