BTW, there's a (micro) expansion coming in August.  Children of Neinzul.

Around the same time the game is going to version 4.0 with release of the game engine in Unity.

You know, I bought this game a while back but never played it. Got distracted by other things. 

I'm gonna go and look at it again.

Edit: Well I had 7 dollars left on a stardock gift card so went ahead and paid the 10 for the expansion. Would be interested in playing some time, once I learn the game.

For anyone that might not know there's a Dwarf Fortress Community on Steam. Just click on Community when you start up steam and do a search for the DFC. It should pop right up and you can join there then make announcements/post comments/etc. There's quite a lot of Team Fortress 2 going on there, but there's also a bunch of other games. It seems like people can pretty much just mention something and at least a few other people will play.

Edit: Also, downloading the demo. Looks like a lot of fun from what I've read.
