Pure joke. I did the math on what you'd have left after setting one off, and it works out to ~88,000 power IIRC.  It's not even enough to support all the ships you have access to at time 0:00

Well oooookay then.

Note to self: doomsday device not worth it. At all.

Though there might be a few limited circumstances in which it might be helpful, based on the account I read of a player setting it off and then siccing the Blade on the AI homeworld.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

It's one of those "well a Mk 1 destroyes 1 world, the Mk2 destroys its neighbors too.  What's a Mk 3 do and why don't we have one?" things that would have happened if it wasn't there.  So it was added, even if its never meant to be used.

As for the Blade, that's more a case of "player was going to win anyway, so he set off a nuke just to be a jerk because he could." :P

Pledged!
If it goes through, then I'll name a planet after my (late) mother.  8)

Very cool.
I'm probably going to do "Sacrificial Victim."

Campaign v2 is nearing in on the 80k stretch goal for Spire stuff.

Also a whole bunch of Keithposts on the Arcen forums.
Reprisal and Salvage, Balance and such, Mercenaries, and the compiled list of KS update links.

There's an achievement for winning the game after setting off a Mk 3 nuke :P

No there's not.
Also, its not possible to win after setting of a Nuke Mk3.  I did the math.

It's been a long time since I played this, and it's still as fun as ever :D [Although it's not AI War II]

My only problem would be the insane lag I get whenever I try for the higher achievements (I can do them >_>), because of ALL THE SHIPS in play. :'(
I can't defend the galaxy if the galaxy can't handle all these AI ships pouring in and speeding through.

PTW here!

I remember playing AI War way back in the day...Like around 2010.
Didn't really spark my interest back then.

But now, oh man, I am having the time of my life with it, 7 hours into a campaign with a person on the Arcen Games discord server (which y'all should join).
Not so much in my singleplayer campaign for one reason or another.

And I normally consider myself to have too low of an attention span for really slow-paced games like these, but I suppose that playing with another person helps that a metric ton.

(It took us like 4 hours to capture a single planet at one point...Damn Raid Engine, and other things. We're also doing some Fallen Spire stuff, and that's going real well so far.)

Also AI War 2 looks really damn promising and it's the first time that I've backed a KS in a long time. (Surprisingly enough, the Early Bird $16 tier was/is still available...)
I just hope that my rig will be able to run it, but from what I've heard and read, it seems likely. (Also super stoked about a Day 1 64-bit DRM-free Linux release.)

Oh yeah, before about version 3.2 I wouldn't say the game was very interesting.  But 3.2 and onwards was amazing.
