I'd be up for a game for a few hours, only I'd consider myself a noob and I don't have the final expansion (children of mcurist ?) yet.

I'll probably need to update the game too

Its Neinzul (nein; German for "no" and zul).

And its not the final expansion.  Light of the Spire is the third (and still in beta).  Spire fleet ships are "I can't believe they're not starships" and spirecraft are "I can't believe they're not golems."

But not in an OP manner?

When a Spire Stealth Battleship costs 60k+ resources and you get two of them, no, they're not OP.  They're also less awesome than when they first showed up (148,000 damage a shot?  Yes please!)

Spirecraft are a "minor faction" thing you can enable that ranges from Easy (and subsequent score penalty) to Hard (the AI does mean things).  Spirecraft on anything other than Easy cannot be repaired.  Plus they now have tiny tiny ship caps and are crazy expensive.

I'd be willing to show up, depending on the time. I should be available almost any time though.

Are all the ai ships that attack you via warp 'real' before they actually show up? As in did the AI have them somewhere patrolling before it sent them to kill you?

Also, if you were to destroy every warpgate in the galaxy, would you no longer be attacked?

No, the ships in waves are created based on the AI's system of rules as far as I know. It operates on different rules than you do, bringing ships in from outside the galaxy to meet and deal with a perceived threat.

Awww... that's kind of... I don't know, but I'd personally prefer it to have to warp in it's own ships from a planet :P
