I learned carpentry when I was 13, I build a go cart... It worked, but I didn't have the money nor the springs to build a suspension, it's wheel flew apart in a pothole.

Hmm if you have a community college nearby check out some of their classes, for example I'm taking ornamental ironwork and all my mats are covered in the class for projects unless I want to do my own thing which only costs like a $1 per pound or foot or something like that. I'm going to have alot of fun in this class lol.

edit: Heck ask an adult friend or neighbor that lives by you for that matter though you'll still have to talk to your parents about money if its close enough for you to get to.

You could just buy one. Solder and the iron isn't very expensive.. about the price of a movie ticket. You do need some skill with electronics to make anything useful, though. Otherwise, the only thing you could do is resolder badly soldered stuff.. or short circuit things

C is "simple".

You need a compiler.


It is made of basic expressions and simple functions combined in complex ways, with very complex libraries to produce great results.


If you have a compiler, the first step is to learn how to output to a console with stdio.h and then build from there(as once you have simple output, you can use it to test and learn anything else until you have more advanced skills)

Well, as for printf, it means print formatted text. There is fprintf (file printf), sprintf (string printf), and maybe others, with the variance being the destination.

Opening windows is complicated and one of the things you don't want to write yourself. A good copy-paste from a tutorial will last years, unless you get into the most in-depth options, and even then you will probably only change parts of it.

I honestly don't know/use most of those, but many of them are there.

Until you want openGL or any other advanced things, and most of the time you have to download them.
