Transarctica.

So.. Liked the story and aspects of the system... Disliked the game greatly.

So, is it just me... Or does the idea of a post-apocalyptic economic train simulation have more potential then what's been produced already?

I've heard of it, but not played it.

My personal opinion is that trains are cool, but piloting one is boring.

Oh wow.  I found this game on Abandonia years ago, but I could never figure out how to do anything except shovel different colored stuff into the boiler.  The only part that reall stuck out to me is that when you quit the game, it says you committed suicide.  That's cruel in a way the ID quitting messages never were.

post-apocalyptic economic train simulation
Adding post-apocalyptic to almost anything "should" make it better.

It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

Can you toot the whistle?

So what game couldn't be made better by adding post apocalyptic?  I mean besides stuff that already is.

Oh, but there was a lot more to do than just "piloting". Not without reason your train had armoured cars with heavy cannons, or infantry compartments. I think there was even a nuclear rocket to be had at some point.
Then there was some trading, clearing tracks of wild animals(e.g. mammoths) etc.

Post-Apocalyptic Space Knitting Simulator?

Sounds good, lets get some programmers on this.

For added hilarity stick a grand-theft to the beginning.
