I'll do the statue

It needs to fulfill the first spoiler and look like could contain the others, or does the image need to be big enough for the other images to be added in?

We'll play it by ear. We'll need all the pictures rendered before we can figure out how to arrange it all.

If you can render it in a program like Illustrator or Flash we could easily adjust the scale to work with, without compromising the quality. Then again, I can always make adjustments with what I collect.

EDIT:
I must've misread what you meant.

At least render how it would look, and just color it in with what the materials would be. We'll worry about the engravings later.

I'll mark it in as your claim.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

heres a quick example before I head out, I would like to do this or a huge monolith like the one from space 2001.
There could be a main landscape pic and then others viewing the inside or roof down view.

You guys decide, either way I feel it should have a scale worthy of the number of engravings and decorations.

I'll be away for a week, so if you need it done sooner then that then by all means let someone else take over.

edit: looks like illustrator can open autocad drawings natively, if you are interested I could just provide the various views as a .dwg

So wait, is this going to be Planepacked? Or is this an idea of the studio it would be worked on/on display in?

So far, not to be vain, my image seems most plausible for planepacked. Plus, I imagine the additional images on it are not really all that large. Kinda like that tablet earlier in the thread. Reason I allowed for panels to be applied on all 4 sides of it. So that there's room for all the engravings to be applied. Plus, it would still follow the description given to the statue's form.

I agree with you Ithnethlolor, 4 dwarves raising a stone which got the history is most plausible and most aesthetically pleasing.

I was thinking something along the lines of:

But the current idea sounds nice.

I like the dwarves raising the stone idea.

But it would be cool if it would be like the tacitus in tiberium. A ball containing all the knowledge of the dwarves.

Nevermind. I found a work-around.

Yeah, that was my first idea. But I kinda wanted to stick to lore. BTW, that fits option 2 more.

What I figured best was an all of the above option.

None of the images on this page are working.

I'll make whatever you guys want, I guess I didn't read all the previous posts.

it looks like this is more the layout you are expecting.

Just about. Except at the faces of it is where they are facing, holding it; not the corners. Then again, they could be facing away.

And try to follow template that I made. Here it is again.

Idea of form:

  o  (*)  o
  -===T===-
-=| | W | |=-
  o  /=\  o
    /_X_\
    |===|
]  _| P |_  [
o=|_|   |_|=o
]   | P |   [
 _O_|===|_O_
  |_ \#/ _|
 _| |_ _| |_

I think I can make a quick 3D model of the basic shape...

How's that? It shows the panels how I see them, and it even has an image of Planepacked on itself.

I kinda omitted most of the rings on it since they would be too small on some of the parts. But I expected there to be chains hanging off it all over the place and such. Think of it like most ancient sculptures like this way back when. Those looked crazy. Kinda like chandelier.
