Seperate RAWs.
« on: August 27, 2009, 02:22:54 pm »

Ok I dont know if this is going to be in ???.
But instead of having all creatures in the same .txt file, have a folder containing a .txt file for each one. The seperate stages of a creatures life, whereby they change physically (egg->lavae->cacoon->moth) all in the same .txt (or a a sub folder if you want to go extreme).

Said stages don't exist yet, and I don't know if they're on the list or not.
Creatures are already separated into loose categories. Modders can put any creature in any file, or make new files, or whatever.
Sub-folders are unnecessary, due to said loose categories, and the wonders of Ctrl+F (ironically, it would be even easier to locate specific creatures if they were all in the same file).

Edit: Wait, just saw this topic, why not post this there?

Yeah but the RAW files seem unorganised, such as difference between creature_fanciful creature_large etc. Why not have a collective creatures folder. This allows for easy searching + uncluttering of the txt files.

BTW ctrl-f works outside of notepad.
