That should be the name of a Bon Jovi tribute band.

The grammar issue I mentioned in the dev log was that it sounds better as "Melted Lion Fat Spatter", but it doesn't know how to do that yet.  It might be even better if there were some specific word for melted fat that I'm not remembering and haven't bothered to hunt around for, then it could say "Lion <word> Spatter" etc.

I wasn't sure if that was just a post-rendering thing since I don't know anything about that kind of thing (the dictionary is ambivalent), but I'm happier with grease than melted fat, though this means all grease is hot, instead of being nasty congealed crap that can be cold.

So

"Lion grease spatter" would now be the official text, even if that's not entirely good.

Sadly, http://thesaurus.reference.com/browse/grease wasn't much help on alternate names.

Perhaps it is a feature for a later release? Attributes for spatter/coverings. Like the way something can be 'on fire'? Grease, blood, vomit, water, etc could be hot or cold and change the way creatures react to having that particular covering.

Now I'm wondering about melted fats, and how grease relates to lard, tallow and oil lubricants.

Grease may refer to:

    * Grease (lubricant), a type of industrial lubricant
    * Yellow grease, in rendering, used frying oils, or lower-quality grades of tallow
    * Petroleum or fat that is a soft solid at room temperature
    * Hydrogenated vegetable oil (vegetable shortening) used as a replacement for lard and other rendered animal fats

Grease doesn't have to be hot.

It's also not fat, though, it's oil. I don't think lions have oil in them.

Grease
-noun
1. the melted or rendered fat of animals, esp. when in a soft state.

Not to start another semantic debate or anything, but I like grease.

Huh?  Grease is literally melted fat.   Oil and Grease are the same thing,  Liquid fatty acids.  Traditionally oil is used for plants and grease is used for animals, but that's it.

Solves the 'hot' problem, because the game supports objects with low melting points (I.E. room temperature).  Would be neat if your grease coverings all became fat coverings in cold weather.  (Bonus points if that worked as insulation in cold climbs)

The word for melted fat is "schmalz" (The whitish melted fat.  Schmalzt is the same thing, but brown instead of white.).  Translated it means roughly the same thing as lard, but it refers specifically to fat that was either melted on purpose or left over in the pan.
