So here we start again (here's the reason why):

After 7 months of wandering around Urdims group, the Work of Machines, came around a mountain called the Gory Tooth. It wasn't obvious why until Urdim was the last dwarf remaining alive. Unable to travel on his own and due to a broken cart he had to settle down here.

He has some basic supplies including a cat, a rope, some leather, food, drinks, seeds, an anvil, an axe, a pick, a cat, and a pair of wardogs, and some timber. He's standing on a side of the mountain close to the top with a volcano to the north and a patch of sand far down below (around 50z levels, if you have to know). There is also a chasm very near. What should he do?

First order of business: Is there still a dog? Wait... cats? Mwahaha. Get a chain somehow, and chain a cat outside somewhere as an offering of friendship to whatever lives in the chasm. All.. pre-emptively, like.

Fort is slow as hell (probably due to a lot of z-levels) but that's not a problem due to the format of the game. All your actions will be processed during today!

Urdim started building a nice wooden hut on the side of the mountain for himself. It started raining while he was doing so and it annoyed him a bit. While building it the cat became very fond of Urdim but since Urdim was already annoyed he decided to chain the cat near the hut.

The hut, chained cat, and carpentry used to make the furniture. 3D image coming later afternoon.

Okay, since this is a real fort, well then...

Sorry for the late reply - it was a stormy weekend.

There is no visible rivers on the terrain around Urdim but he saw a few small streams near the volcano which could mean an underground river! Until he digs that out he can drink the booze he has now and/or cook his own!

There are no trees around but there is a layer of soil 57z levels below Urdim. Some red sand!
