Ok, though, I have a joint maybe twice a year. And I do it because it helps me to relax, not because other people do it. Hell, I had the opportunity at 10 freakin' years old, but I didn't want to give into peer pressure.

The whole point is that is nowhere near as deadly as the legal intoxicants. (Although I'm partial to alcohol.)

I've been of this opinion for a while.  Not because of what they do to the person smoking them, but because of what tobacco can do to non-smokers around it.

Mind, I'm the sort of person who doesn't have much caffeine (a cup of tea and a bite of chocolate moderately often, but that's it), much less anything else (I like wine, but only very rarely drink it, maybe a few glasses per year).  I can be a bit boring sometimes.

Well, take a look at alcohol. For example, vodka will screw you up in short order, faster than a hit of pot ever will. I think the only thing to think is, nothing in excess.

Dude, you are missing out.

And I'm not talking going out and getting hammered here. That's like saying your never going to eat root vegetables or something. You're effectively excluding an entire massive range of flavours for no good reason. A glass of good wine with a meal isn't going to do you any real harm and can make the entire experience better. And to be quite frank there's nothing like a cider to cool you down on a hot day. Now before I delve completely into stereotypical alcohol consumption I'll just say this: Alcohol is great!


Also if you never ever get hammered you are seriously denying yourself an experience, there's nothing quite like waking up and trying to figure out why you are wearing your pants on your head and have eyes drawn on your nipples.

Really? I was drinking wine with a meal when I was 12. Cider I've also been drinking since I was young although that stuff was basically apple juice.
