Sex Dwarf, by Soft Cell, the guys who made the 80's Tainted Love every music producer loves to remix. It's actually quite perverse and unsound, but since those rhyme with dwarfy so often on those forums, it might as well fit...

There is also an awful remix by Scooter, all technoid and boomy, if you bother looking for it. Yes i'm too ashamed to post it.

i used to lisen to the pirates of the caribean soundtrack or classic music, until i saw this video and was really surprised of how well the music fits the video of df

I just can't see Dwarves as being metalheads. Goblins and orcs are metalheads. The only reason most of the metal posted on this thread might be fitting to Dwarf Fortress is because of the goblins. Alestorm is pirate metal, and Finntroll is obviously troll metal.

Traditional Nordic music and medieval rock seem a lot more fitting to Dwarves!

I don't know, the only music I can really think of as fitting DF is loopy guitar music.

Manowar fits beautifully. It was particularly good when "Hymn of the Immortal Warriors" came up while I was burying a champion. Epic.

forget everything else in this thread, this one pwns for df http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDQ7hXMLxGc i mean think about it, drunken guys with beards, covered in clothes and coats due to cold making them seem small while still showing large contexture, plus the music really makes me think of an army of drunken dwarves marching and singing.

interesting fact: i was looking for a march for my current megaproject (an underwater city) something that would remind me of an evil genious's army marching and so i found that, and then i thought, if soviets are like this, how about nazi marchs? i mean these guys where practically the encarnation of evil in the modern times.

so do you think they where epic war songs? think again, this sounds like it was a part of heidi just look the nazi marchs up in youtube and see for yourself, wich brings me to the next subject, these are not dwarfy so we can come to the conclusion that the dwarves are certainly not the nazi inside of the df world, but guess what? wich raze is blonde with blue eyes, tall, and lisens to this kind of music? ELVES! i knew it!

I usually listen to either the default DF music, or blast some metal while dorfin. However, a recent spout of creativity, inspired by a seige that my current fortress experienced, produced this. I like to think it captures the mood pretty well.

Besides, it's somehow enjoyable to think of groundhogs stacked to the very top of a cage and flooding out to kill.
