Don't have to be adventure games. Don't really know what else they could be, though, besides a mix of adventure and something else.
Well it could be something more meta, like that boredgame, Cluedo. I can't name anything like that off the top of my head though...

I tried to play chess but two of my opponents were playing competitive checkers as a third person walked in with Game of Thrones in hand confused cause they thought this was the book club.

Every case is murder and it's mystery!

Tell me more about Phoenix Wright!

Well, you play as a defense attorney who basically has to solve murder crimes and find the real killer.  Has drama and comedy.  Half of it is talking to people while investigating and the other half is courtroom drama.

That does sound good. Is it only for the DS?

YEAH! except the third...

Indigo Prophacy is a murder mystery for most of the game... but the fact that they litterally cramed three games into one is evident.
