Your spirit floats around in a sea filled with predatory gods that want to eat all your tastiest bits and dump the scraps in the garbage.

Also strangely lovecraftian. I wonder what parts of my soul would be tastiest.

Terry Pratchet's one is the one I'd really like.

I've only read Good Omens and the one about the post office, so I'm not familiar with Discworld's afterlife. :-\

Basically, Death pops up (Death's an awesome guy, really friendly, you meet him about once a book) and whatever you believe in, happens. You'd think it'd suck for atheists, but the considering the Gods of Discworld regularly go out and smash the windows of atheists homes, its not as big of a problem as you'd think.

Heh. Death.

I'm pretty sure the Death in Good Omens was Neil Gaiman's idea, instead of Terry Pratchett's.

Also, isn't there a story floating around out there that when death comes for you, you can play a game for your soul?

Yes. It never works. Death once played against a person who owned three hotels and all the utilities.

He was the boot.

I think the game is called, 'don't die in the first place'...
But yeah, I think I have heard of that one...

Very Warp-esque.

Chaos...

I'd need to know you better to say anything certain, but I guess the parts that deal with spatial logic would be quite good, if a bit meagre...
Damn, now I'm hungry.

Also, it's essential for a Discworld atheist to be fireproof, as the Gods have a nasty habit of zapping atheists.

It's also worth noting that mere belief in something on Discworld is enough to make it exist (see: Small Gods, The Science of Discworld series) and therefore it's probably not being seriously suggested :P.

Golems are the only people able to be atheists. But they can be perfectly happy just sitting there in the desert beyond death without anyone to tell them to do anything.

Ever since they discovered capitalism and brought themselves.

Ok... Well, on a more serious note; why the heck are we even talking about golems and capitalism?
