How did this thread go from being about the afterlife to discussing the practicality of eyeball-arms?

Not only is it not actually advertising anything, it's just copy/pasting word salads about gold, runescape, oil, yuan, and handbags.  It's like a transporter accident combined all the spambots into one shambling mass of online sales.

Someone should sig that, it's the most awesome chain of events I've ever seen.

Well, I think the whole point is that we'd need the equivalent of eyearms to think in four dimension. Both of these are capacities we don't have, at all.

I think it's just a metaphor?

Yeah, that's why I said "equivalent".

It is impossible to see the entirety of a three dimensional object at once, except possibly a transparent one... one side of it will always be obscured from your perspective. You can take the knowledge gained from many viewings of an object and determine its three-dimensional form. You can take the knowledge of many different times and determine a 4 dimensional form, consisting of many forms over time. As an experiment, observe your arm being raised, then imagine it happening, then imagine it as a single imaginary construct that possesses all the relevant information simultaneously, it is important to note that this does not have to be a purely visual construct...

Traditional afterlife concepts->Afterlife concepts involving parallel universes->Parallel universes and dimensions->Drugs->Back to dimensions one last time->Difficulties of visualising said dimensions->Eyearms.

Modified to make it easier to understand.

I remember when I first got sigged. The high lasted all day.

Now I've been sigged about 16 or so times.

Still the high.

I've only been sigged thrice.

WHY ARE YOU SO SIGGABLE JACKRABBIT. >:(

Anyway, does anyone else have thoughts about the afterlife?

If there are fluffy white clouds for eons, I'm going to have a few stern words with God.

That said, both the Discworld and Order Of The Stick are afterlife's I'd really like to have.

That would show an incredible lack of foresight on the universe creator's part. We're bad enough in the frigging Sims, what benevolent deity could possibly condone giving a human God status?
