Ok, here's an idea for the colony NPC's, if you wish: Maybe we have to survive for a set number of turns, and if we do, a number of colonists come down from the ship, based on a dice roll, ex.
1 = 1 colonist
2 = 2 colonists
3 = 3 colonists, etc. (At least one of opposite sex.)

I hereby dub my planet Bein Amar. I name my settlement Lîn Sein Amar. (Cookie if you know what language it is.)

I search my module for all tools currently available to me. And a trilby hat. If anything even mildly resembling a dog or some other useful animal wanders into the camp, I will attempt to tame it.

Nope.. I'll give you a hint, "Bein Amar" means "Beautiful World", and Lin Sein Amar means "Your New Home".

And yay, my idea is (semi)incorporated! The purpose of the opposite sex thing is that it'd be rather depressing knowing you'll be the only one to live in your city, and you will eventually die and no one will know of your achievements, or in accordance with the common RTD, your horrifyingly gruesome yet hilarious demise.
