I just read the thread owner was WorkerDrone and was like, "WOO-HOO WORKERDRONE MY BUD."
See, its really things like this that let's ToonyMan off the hook, as long as he knows when to stop. And I like that description of that MASSIVE allowance we give ToonyMan every weekend. "Here, take this box of Favors and get lost for a few days."
At anyrate, RIGHT back on topic, finally, I do usually divulge into very wordy and long rants when I'm frustrated, usually underlying my feelings on matters while also pretty much letting out steam on an issue I'm contested with. If I suddenly spring into a rant, I expect people to listen, and they usually do, because if they don't, it only makes me rant even more. Which is horrible.
Its easiest for me to slip into a spiral of words when writing it up on a computer, its also easiest to regret exactly what you end up typing, which makes you thank god that there's an edit button. But when your messaging someone directly, you soon realize there IS no edit button for that, the message is already in their inbox, and they
will read it and either be shocked or appalled or insulted by whatever deranged things you've ended up striking up.
Its easiest to calm down when your in a face to face confrontation with, most likely multiple, people that you know. You don't know how many times I've gotten a rant cut short when they tell me I'm ACTUALLY with friends, and I should just talk about whatevers bugging me. Sometimes I'll talk about it, or sometimes I'll just shut my trap and go back to being...well...as close to nice as I usually act around people.
If I start ranting, it usually means something is bugging me, and that I know EXACTLY what's bugging me, and I can describe it in detail.
This is the best time to either persuade me to talk about it, or to tell me to contemplate it instead of shooting it at people.
