This is perfectly justified.

 Kansas was a made-up state that movie makers made up for The Wizard of Oz. State doesn't exist. That area is just a giant oddly-shaped lake.

 And on topic, the problem of dickery might be attributed to others being idiots. Insert comment on how you don't get terribly angry around is implying we are smarter than everybody else, but I suppose the reason we don't see you as what you describe can either mean you are a bit too critical on yourself, or you work/live/interact with a lot of annoying people that generally cause people to become dicks after years of interaction.

Being tired contributes a shitload more than you'd expect. I occasionally make extremely stupid decisions, and piss people off, and this is always when I'm tired. Try to avoid contact with other people when tired.
