Phobias
« on: August 21, 2009, 06:34:27 am »

So I got interested in what people are afraid of, and I went to this site:

http://www.phobialist.com/

and I'm guessing that all of these are actually documented phobias that someone somewhere has had at some point. Now, I don't mean to make light of anyone's crippling, irrational fears, but this is sort of funny to read.

Here's some of my favorites:

Geniophobia- Fear of chins

Politicophobia- Fear or abnormal dislike of politicians

Sesquipedalophobia- Fear of long words.

Phobophobia- Fear of phobias

I don't think they would bother naming it unless at least a few in the population suffer from that phobia. Or am I mistaken?

Well, yes, it is a real phobia. But anyone here who has it would be a sniveling wreck due to Aqizzar.

Once tried to conquer Earth, and succeeded! Too bad it got really, really boring, really, really fast.

One day, we shall all look back on this, and laugh. Sorry about the face, by the way, and the legs, and the eyes, and the arms. In fact, sorry 'bout the whole body.

I can understand ants, they are genuinely creepy.

I remember Cthulhu telling me once about his home, and it being constantly infested with sugar ants or brown ants or something.

The Jack Jumper isn't so much "creepy" as it is "TERRIFYING".

That's either fear of children or fear of feet.

In the former case, it's the antonym of pedophilia, in the latter it's just weird.
