A phenomenon that warrants further study:

A raised bridge will not allow water (even under heavy pressure) to flow from under its "shadow." Discuss.

so on, so forth. without our world, DF wouldnt exist. and DF ends up causing its own existance via elves being poncy bastards. thus we can say that Elves are the secret creators of DF!  :o

It should be pretty fun though.

I've run the calculations, and the amount of stone in even a relatively small asteroid is far too much for even the incredible amounts of stone in DF to build. :'(

Are you sure? Shouldn't you run the numbers again? And it's not science unless someone else can recreate your results!

Ah, he probably wasn't thinking of creating stone. The amount of stone in a 30-odd z-level map filled with stone wouldn't be enough.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Once again:

A creature the size of Europe can exist within a single tile.

Wow... And wagons take up 9 tiles... So are 9 times the size of Europe... At Least!

Technically, wagons are not limited by physics.

Considering that they hold far more than nine objects (one object per tile), they are extra-dimensional entities.

you can fit 100,000 dragons on one tile, so long as 99,999 of them are lying down.

Then the almighty Bahamut will be summoned.

That, or we'll get a very dissatisfying show of 100k dragons getting crushed sans the gore.  >:(

Your computer would have exploded from trying to run the pathfinding algorithms of 100,000 Dragons long before you atom smashed them.
