If he's superdwarvenly tough, possibly. But I doubt you could take on more than 1 at a time without being incinerated, or overexerted.

I guess it depends on luck. If you get lucky and make it close enough to them. You would then need to survive the others. If you can get them around a blind corner things would be somewhat easier.
