Hey there,

After watching the CNR Video by wierd al, I wanted to play as CNR in dorf fortress. I thought I followed the wiki tutorial well enough but I cant see where I went wrong.

I don't know what the etiquette is in the mod community here.

How should I display the needed information and what information do you need?

You've modded in a 'CNR' creature, I take it?

First off, what exactly is a CNR?

For the information to display: your creature and entity entries for the CNR, your errorlog (just in case) and any other relevant files (i.e. new metals or whatever for your CNR to use)

Don' worry if you got something wrong: It doesn't screw anything beyond regen of the world, or at the very most, a fresh install.

Essentially what I did was add tokens to the human raw information off the wiki.

The goal was to have him mimic the badassery of CNR from the video, and to go swimming in magma.

The Errorlog is in your highest Dwarf Fortress folder- the same one with the Dwarf Fortress program and the 'data' and 'raw' folders.

I can't watch the video, I had to reformat my computer at the start of the year and I lost my driver disc, and they're obscure bastards for drivers- I can't find them to download them, and the one time i tried, I disabled my good mouse, and the replacement double-clicks incessantly. And my keyboard is playing up.

Ahem. Never mind that. Just, I don't have any sound on this 'puter.

From your posted files, make sure everything that isn't a name, prefstring or adjective tag is in ALL CAPS- coming to mind is TRANSLATION:Human and FaNCIFUL in your Entity and Creature files respectively.
Also, there seems to be a gap in your creature files- Paragraphing is usually a good thing, but it screws with the game.

Finally, and I'm not sure about this, but I think there are two specifc types of ETHIC: tag in the Entity file, but you've treated them all as one. I think the most permissive version of one type is ACCEPTABLE, and the other PERSONAL_MATTER. Look in the vanilla entity files for an idea which is which.

Ah. See the 'Unrecognized Token' readouts? that means it has no idea what the MOUNTAIN_SETTLEMENTS token is. Remove it, and it might fix it. If not, I haven't a clue.

Remember to regen after removing the tag!

That token been removed. Should have I erased error log?

I also copy and pasted the archnind from the wiki mod page. I regen a world, and it arachninid. It also not showing up.

You have the mappings for a creature_cnr.txt file in the creature raw spoiler there.
