I suppose it depends on each person's individual preference. I prefer to watch for suspicious behavior rather than vote randomly, but others (as you've seen) enjoy laying votes about with no rhyme or reason.

Math is a dangerous route to take in mafia. There have been all sorts of experiments with random lynching, perfect mafia play, etc. and they've come up with all kinds of probabilities and such, leading to the infamous And They All Lived Happily Ever After scenario. Treating it as a purely mathematical exercise is a really bad idea, from a town perspective, since it takes the Town's advantage (superior numbers) and throws it away on the idea that all of the scum are so accomplished at appearing townie that they will be indistinguishable. We've repeatedly proven that false, especially since even on D1 townie lynches the reasons behind a vote are often important later.

On the other hand, that was an impressive display of crazy by Toonyman and an impressive bandwagony-thing that developed off of it.

I don't think it would matter who you're with at 3 people, alot of shit would have gone down by that point and the course of the game would make it a very unique situation. I couldn't tell ya.
