Make a mods folder which can contain 'mods'.
A mod has a set of RAWs and possibly some genned worlds and default world gen parameters, so maybe 'spiky mod' makes more mountains or whatever without interfering with main game

On main menu you can choose to play normally or to play a mod OR to play 2 or more mods at same time, using merged RAWs.

Later on when we get quests and such, mods might contain whole worlds with quests etc.

I think I heard something like this was already in the next release.

It also existed in the First Armok (Which made its absense even more of a mystery)

You can change the world params to create something crazy.
I think there's a way to keep all rejects, in the init if I recall. That will let you get crazy lava worlds.

I've been trying to gen tree/mountain/lava worlds, but I always either get loads of forest and no mountains or loads of mountains and no forest. I want al of them so I can have wood, lava and HFS all on one embark, but at the moment I have to regen every two or three forts because the world has no more good places.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
