There might be UG rivers and pools, but the chances of magma are zero to none with all that dolomite. Also, I see some kind of rat-type thing in the mountains, but with the Mayday tileset (which I've never used) I find it hard to discern what the heck they are.

Anyone more versed in additional graphics want to help me out with this?

we won't need the two steel hatchets or anvil due to lack of trees.

The embark site doesn't look that bad. For a survival challenge I was expecting more of a three level salty aquifer on a terrifying scorching desert.

Here I suspect we will have some hidden map features to make things more interesting. Like a GCS, bottomless pit or some HFS.

7 soap makers, one of every animal and the rest goes on crossbows with no ammo.

I tried this on haunted forest, couldn't last the year but it was 'fun'

No. Yes, of course!

You could start a zoo and end up with a natural history museum, I'm sure no one would mind.

I'm excited now, this looks like my type of map layout. I'm a sucker for the cliff face type maps.

Awwwwwwww, screw it. Sign me up, on a tentative basis. I might not be able to complete the challenge, but at the very least I can give it a try.

About the map: If there's not [redacted] somewhere on that map, then I'm a monkey's uncle.

Pwahaha! Real DF Masters don't even use exploratory mining to find ores and gems and hidden features! They instinctively know exactly where everything is, and they send their miners on the shortest path to exploit the features, nay, even plan megaprojects in their path to take advantage of them! For that it was it means to be a Dwarf Fortress Master!
