I didn't notice that Vieto had multiple shots under some of those. That arena is really cool. Is the roof clear glass?

And I never did figure out how to get fresh water below the aquifer layers - no matter what I tried it was always salty.

Did you try pumping up water into a tank that was flowing in from the edge of the map rather than letting it drop? I'm about to try that on my map and see if it works.

no, the roof is micro line. glass floors aren't transparent for me, for some reason. If glass was clear, it would be really cool, and I would have.

Also, all you need to do to get fresh water below the aquifer is to pump it below the aquifer. It's the crossing of the aquifer biome that makes it salty.

Still, I must say your's is very impressive.

I didn't try pumping from the edge of the map.

And I did try letting it fall and then pumping from below the aquifer. It was still salty. Maybe I'll play with it some more later and work this stuff out. It's why I like the challenges, after all - I learn loads of new things.

as DFM2 is drawing to a close, i have one question to ask.

Will there be another?

But of course! I've got some plans in the works, but I'll take a poll to generate some community feedback before deciding on anything.

We've got a few entries turned in so far, but we're still waiting on a number of players yet, so keep 'em coming. Also, I'd appreciate it a great deal, and it'd help me a lot, if players could let me know (again, if you have already) whether you're going to be trying to finish up soon, turn in your map as is, or drop out. It'll help get things going faster, so we can start getting the judges prepared ASAP.

Martin: You need to go check out the Scour the Earth thread. Its right up your alley.

EDIT: Derp, you've already seen it. Sorry.

I suggest the next challenge be survival also, on a haunted mountain, with a chasm and pit. As elves. With orc mod.

Also, you can manufacture vomit at a smelter.  Subsequently removing the smelter spews vomit over a surprising area.

I also have an idea for a survival challenge if Sol wants a break (or wants to play).

My time-sense gets fuddled when I'm low on energy. I have more time than I thought by a year. I'm not submitting yet, only one project is done nd..well..despite my infamous keyboard problems I'm having plenty of fun. (And some Fun. This summer saw a

I think project naming should be part of the criteria and should be presented before final reveal. I'm really looking forward to Cobolt's projects based on name alone.

Unfortunately, as I said, I'm sick and I want to play it at leisure, not rush, and it's only Late Summer 104 (Not that it isn't fun.) On another side, it's gotten me quite comfortable with my tileset that someone called "clock-radio". On another, like I used to sub ' for v, now I'm in habit of 4 for left..which doesn't work elsewhere.

edit: Some of the projects...amusingly...interfere with each other's looks.
