Modding Items [read: ammo]

I was somewhat bored so I started thinking what new weapons I could mod in.
Since I already have a host of melee weapons added to my files, I wondered what I could do for ranged.
So...Is it possible to create fire arrows / bolts.

Ideally just bolts modded to do [FIRE] damage instead of [PIERCE]
Any reasons you know of why It should go wrong?

Without piercing damage, you'll lose the extreme organ mangling critical ability of crossbows.

Make so you need Fire Imp fat to make flaming arrows.
Also, give the arrows massive damage to counteract the lack of internal organ rape

Who NEEDS internal organ rape if you can reliably incinerate opponents? C'mon, fire! Now all we need would be magma arrows...

On a slightly unrelated note, are siege engines hardcoded?

Siege Ammo isn't....hehehe..

flaming ballistae arrows...oh the possibilities...

I still want the ability to make vehicles, seriously, who doesn't want 5 steel wagons of pain assault your fort and drop off several troops while they are covered by ranged infantry who stay in the wagon?
I wonder what a ballista arrow would do to a steel wagon though.

The bolts pretty much just act as normal bolts. No fire causing qualities at all.
ah well.

hmmmm...
According to the Wiki though, Heat may actually work, it just only ignites on critical  :P
