Maybe being a vegetarian just makes you more venomous.

Wait, of course it does, meat contains growth hormones and growth hormones inhibit virility.

So it doesn't make you more potent, you just don't get less potent.

After that I had to search for the superbowl ad. I have to say how on earth can they possibly claim vegetarians have better sex??? It makes no sense, they provide no evidence. In what way do vegetarians have better sex?
Logically, more vegetarians despise meat eaters than meat eaters despise vegetarians (because people who are vegetarians are more likely to be devoted to it, or fanatical - though I know a fair few that aren't). Therefore, by sleeping with a fellow vegetarian, they are less likely to be unhappy with their partner. Convoluted logic!

Fanatical sex due to fanatical beliefs. This is why religious people get pregnant.

Actually, it's probably the lack of contraceptives.

Yer, meat doesn't necessarily contain growth hormones. I tend to opt for wild caught meats (fish at least)anyway, I believe firmly that the diet of an animal affects the meat, because that makes sense. By the way, that is what defines organic.

Natural: Kill things and eat them. Sleep outside. Use carefully portioned poisons to minimize disease symptoms.
Not natural: Uncle Ernies Magic Natural Organic Spiritual Cures

In other words, my policy is: Anyone who insists on the value of natural food, but can't handle a harsh trailhead, is a fucking hippy. You hear too much of "Yeah, I always eat organic foods because it's healthy... no, I don't tan, I burn, so I try not to stay outside too long... if I eat that, I'll get fat..."

In further other words, health freaks are the unhealthy people.

I'm super-unhealthy, but I don't really look it.

Well, eating non natural foods that prolong life (in the FUTURE!) wouldn't be unhealthy (presumably) but it would certainly be non-natural.

Actually, you've got that one backwards, wild fish is more toxic than farmed fish, for exactly the reason you stated. Although I will agree that the "organic" fad is mostly bullshit. Lots of those neo-hippies around here, and god are they annoying.

Your nutrition is based entirely on what you THINK you're eating. Placebo is funkeh.

I prefer wild meat as well. Anything you catch or pick (berries) tastes better than storebought.

The placebo effect can't purge toxins from your body, and it can't synthesize nutrients.  If you eat badly, you're going to be unhealthy, no matter how good you think the food is.

While wild fish contain far more mercury, mercury is tasteless.

The general rule with anything you hunt or gather yourself is that it's going to be way fresher. On a similar note, I get bread at Costco or Fred Meyer for prices that inarguably make it 'cheap' bread (probably with cheap ingredients), but it's great when it's fresh out of the oven.

Back on topic: Fresh bread is pron-free, but interestingly I got a motocross picture (and the words 'fresh bread' were adjacent in that order in the text on the page, no idea why). And yes, I'm totally sure, I went all the way to page friggin' 47 (last one).

It takes a LOT of mercury to be harmful. If you lived by fishing near an urban center, I can see it being a problem, but not so much with the occasional wild-caught salmon or trout, or cod and halibut shipped in. While there are toxins, yes, life is just like that. I don't think it warrants freaking out and never eating a wild fish. It does maybe warrant avoiding a total seafood diet (especially in problem areas) and by all means reducing mercury pollution.

By my logic, things in nature generally don't need changing unless there's an obviously real problem with them or you see a clear way to improve them. Say that God doesn't make mistakes, or people have evolved to live that way or whatever. Some things are just part of life. This includes eating meat, the sun, seasonal floods (plan around them, not against them!), and even the OCCASIONAL extinction. Generally we should only be mucking with nature if we mucked with it accidentally in the first place. And our lifestyles in which we have a surplus of food (here anyway) and climate control and medicine clearly let us live longer and happier, so that's something we can change. But IMO, anyone who suddenly discovers that the sun is bad for you or we shouldn't have been eating meat for the last 200,000 years is fear mongering. IE, people who tan and don't burn were usually exposed to the sun and sunburn at a young age.

Now, not to sound like some kind of rambo-hippy, like I said, some changes to our environment are logical. But as a general rule, if no one changes anything, that's what would be 'natural' and we can usually be fine with it, exceptions being the bubonic plague and famine.

Alright people, cease and desist.  Last thing we need is another diet opinion thread.

Rambo-hippy turned up a Conan the Barbarian poster for some reason.  Not sure what that counts as.

The posters of naked people cut in half in a doctors office aren't erotic (well unless you're into that sort of thing). Anyway, shirtless Conan definitely isn't meant to be erotic. Attractive maybe (assuming there are ladies that even put their eyes in that direction) but not erotic.

Without the hyphen, there's definitely porn.

I wonder if that C-String will eventually evolve into a B string, then an A string, where it's like invisible or something.
