I searched for hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia (Fear for long words) and made it to page 13.

Thats the challenge. The broader the term, the more stuff that pops up, which increases your chance of getting a NSFW image faster.

Keyboards are supposed to be designed to fit common letter patterns. Letters with large usage are easier to access.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that's not true of the QWERTY layout. Wasn't it actually developed to slow down typists on early typewriters so the machine wouldn't jam?
That was what I always thought. Though I thought it was more because carpal tunnel and things like that were so common.

Sorry, I got confused. I was thinking about keyboards specifically to increase speed.

Madness!

I could never switch to a new keyboard style, my hands are too used to QWERTY. I'd be reduced to hunting-and-pecking like I did when I first laid eyes on a keyboard.

Looking at Dvorak literally hurt. Honestly, I cannot imagine using that keyboard without getting a headache.

I share the sentiment Jack. I'm not sure whether or not that's actually easier to use (provided it was taught at a young age) but it looks like a tangled mess.

I'm not sure what logic that Dvorak guy used in making this, but I want to know, because it looks like rubbish. I mean, come on! There's no homerow! The middle row has 10 letters instead of 9. Does L really rank up with Z in order of usefulness? Why tie the punctuations in so closely with the main keys? Why are all the vowels right next to eachother? Does this take into account the Ctrl commands? Why is X right in the middle!?

I can't fathom this.

I tried to spell my name with that thing, using the picture as a reference, on my QWERTY.

Ow.

I had to go lie down. Honestly.

You would have had to have grown up with it to get it.

I know, but the more I look at it, the more I doubt that to be the truth. It's nonsense.
