For building walls/floors/fortifications can we pleae have a similar placement system as the bridge/plot as it would make outdoor forts much easier.

Hmmm, couldnt see this suggested before so corect me if im wrong or there is a way to do this already.

It's been suggested at least fifty times and Toady's acknowledged it (I think in the IRC when I asked about it) and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens sooner than later.
