Upright spike corridor is a effective way to stop them from coming. Kill enought immigrants and they won't come anymore.

oh, you're going to want to do something like [CHILD:3] on dwarves so they don't take 12 years to mature.

As Skorpion points out, time shouldn't be a big issue with only the starting 7 dwarves.

Does anyone have a good world gen which results in the dwarf civilization wiped out by chance? It would be interesting to play out the last survivors of the war or something.

if the dorf civ is wiped out, you can't play them

I was lead to believe that if every dwarf civilization was wiped out, the only effect is no trading/migration.

I was lead to believe that if every dwarf civilization was wiped out, the only effect is no trading/migration.
No Trading and No Migration. I downloaded a Map from the Database Site where the Dwarves and Gobbo's were all killed by the Elves. My group was appairently, when i read legends, wiped out in 83...And then their history suddenly continues when I made a fort in 201

There is the world I was speaking of. No Gen or any modification of Init file required. Your dwarves will be THE only ones around...though i THINK if you abandon a fortress instead of having it obliterated, the remnant will form their own group and thus have a SMALL population from which you can get Reinforcements at your Second fort...

Thusly meaning, when done with a fort, make sure their all dead ^_^

Actually that would be perfect wouldn't it? Make a mountainhome, abandon, make a new fort and you've restarted the dwarven civilization. :P
